Man twists kitten’s neck and receives 2 year ban and fine

A man in Kent has been sentenced for twisting the neck of a two week old kitten which was ill following a flea infestation. The man also performed the same act on the mother and siblings of the kitten. The bodies were dumped in an alleyway outside the man’s house.

The man and his partner have received a two year ban on owning animals, and a fine amount to £900.

Aside from the abject cruelty and pain suffered by the animals: it’s clear the animals weren’t looked after responsibly to begin with. This is by no means an isolated case: is a two year ban and a fine really enough of a deterrent?
