NOBIVAC Myxo-RHD shows positive results in MSD Animal Health studies
The vaccine was proven to prevent infection of myxomatosis and rabbit hemorrhagic disease (RHD), and demonstrated no adverse side effects. The vaccine strain did not disseminate and was only found in the lymph node and skim immediately around the vaccination site.
Full details, diagnosis and spread of both myxomatosis and RHD can be found on Vetstream.
Recent surveys show despite the prevalance of rabbits as pets in Europe few owners have them vaccinated. If owners visit the practice for advice, ensure they know the importance of vaccinating their rabbits just as they would a dog or cat.
