Badger cull still supported by veterinary science claims BVA
Delays surrounding the badger cull have prompted the BVA to release a statement advising culls wait until the new year. The BVA maintains its support for the badger cull in order to reduce levels of bovine TB despite widespread controversy from the general public.
Peter Jones, BVA president commented: “Scientists agree that culling badgers does reduce the levels of infection in cattle herds, and we know that no country has dealt with bovine TB without tackling the disease in wildlife.”
More details can be found on the BVA site.
