Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. announced it has received approval from the FDA to market Prascend (pergolide mesylate), for treatment of clinical signs associated with pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction (PPID), also known as equine Cushing’s disease. Prascend is the first and only FDA-approved product for the management of PPID in horses.

Vetericyn has developed a new line of treatment for infections with a unique method of delivery. The ophthalmic and otic wash and spray does not sting or cause discomfort to animals when applied, and is designed to inhibit antibiotic-resistant strains of infections such as MRSA.
The one-step treatment is a welcome advance in treating eye and ear infections, and is currently available in the US, UK and Canada.
