Independent veterinary check rules breeds ineligible

New measures to ensure breed welfare have ruled a Bassett Hound, a Bulldog, a Clumber Spaniel, a Mastiff, a Neopolian Mastiff and a Pekingese unfit to stand in Crufts due to visible signs of problems that may affect their health.

Checks were introduced to ensure dogs with exaggerated, potentially dangerous, features are not put at risk and do not win prizes. As a result there will be no representative for all 6 breeds.
