Kinross-based Loch Leven Equine Practice wins RCVS hamper

Liz Burton at Loch Leven Equine Practice brought home a fantastic hamper donated by the RCVS for winning a competition held at the VPMA Congress.

The winning question was ‘How many principles of practice are set out in the new RCVS Code of Professional Conduct for Veterinary Surgeons?’ The answer was five.

Vet Charity Challenge 2012

Have you got brains and brawn? Do you have what it takes to try the Vet Charity Challenge 2012?

Veterinary practices and companies have an opportunity to take part in a day-long charity event to raise money for Hounds for Heroes, SPANA and the Pet Blood Bank.

The Vet Charity Challenge will consist of both physical and problem-solving tasks, including cycling, kayaking, walking and running. Anyone of any fitness level can enter in a team of four.

If so, Elsevier want to hear from you. Elsevier have prepared a survey to find out your views on mobile apps and other new technology.

Enter before 31 January for a chance to win £150/€150/$235 worth of Elsevier products. Winners will be announced on 01 February.

BCF are asking practices to send Halloween themed pictures to the BCF Facebook page or to info@bcftechnology.com

Dress your team in spooky attire, decorate the practice with scary decorations: BCF are looking for the scariest, most innovative Halloween photos. The winning picture will win a practice a 14 megapixel Sony Cybershot digital camera.

If you submit a picture of a pumpkin please submit 2 pictures: one of the pumpkin by itself, and one of you with the pumpkin.
