A range of case studies has been unveiled by Dechra Veterinary Products, to support its new campaign focused on the diagnosis and treatment of otitis externa.

Developed as part of the Time to Change campaign, the real-life examples feature a series of problems and solutions associated with otitis, supported by clear images and photomicrographs.

NationWide Laboratories and Cambridge Specialist Laboratory Specialist merge met with success at BSAVA

The laboratories were officially merged with Dechra Specialist Laboratories at BSAVA where feedback from delegates, particularly delegates in Denmark, Sweden and Belgium, was overwhelmingly positive.

The merger comes as Dechra invests in new laboratory equipment to modernise its diagnostic facilities.

Dechra report 9% sales increase

Dechra Pharmaceuticals reported results for the 6 months ended December 31, 2011. Total revenue was GBP 210 million ($325 million), an increase of 9% over the comparable period in the prior year. Pharmaceutical revenue was GBP 58 million ($90 million), an increase of 15%.

Dechra proposes acquisition of Eurovet

Companies enter terms for £112.5m acquisition

Netherlands based Eurovet operates in both the companion and farm animal pharmaceutical markets, and offers product directly complementary Dechra’s own veterinary line.

Dechra announce campaign to support veterinary professionals

The campaign will focus on aspects of dermatology, although the details have been left sketchy until the official launch at BSAVA. Full details on why it’s time to change will be announced at stand 500 at BSAVA Congress.

This follows news of two leading laboratories re-branding at BSAVA under Dechra’s banner.

In other news: NationWide Laboratories and Cambridge Specialist Laboratory Services will officially re-brand as Dechra Laboratory Services and Dechra Specialist Laboratories respectively.

The two independent laboratories became part of Dechra Pharmaceuticals in 2002, and are dedicated to the improvement of animal health by directly supporting practices.

Dechra Announce 5% Revenue Increase and Merck Launch Zuprevo

Dechra Pharmaceuticals has announced a 5% revenue increase following the end of the fiscal year June 30, 2011. Total revenue increased from £369.36m to £389.23m. Dechra Pharmaceuticals provide a range of products including Vetoryl, Felimazole and Fuciderm, as well as full dietery programmes.

Merck Animal Health has announced the launch of Zuprevo, a macrolide antibiotic for respiratory treatment in pigs and cattle. Side effects are limited, with the most common being a local reaction at the site of the injection. Zuprevo should be available to purchase across the EU and in the US within the next few months.

Dechra Launches New Flea Medication
